Second Opinions On Dental X-Rays?
Is it illegal to give an opinion on a dental X-ray? Say your dentist says you need a root canal? It might be helpful to know that three foreign trained dentists agree that you:
- Don't need to do it right now.
- Don't need it.
- Need to do it immediately. Perhaps we can get collect some history over the Internet of folks that also had root canals at your particular dentist.
Does it matter if the dentist is living in another country where they are fully licensed or fully licensed in another country and living in the United States?
Does it make a difference if you charge or don't charge for the service? Perhaps if it's not illegal to give an opinion if you don't charge, we could offer a service that we as foreign trained dentists could be evaluators. Maybe we could attract users to the site and share in a pool of Google AdSense revenue for our troubles. All at the same time, we could be building a sympathetic audience for the plight of a foreign trained dentist in America.
I'm really hoping people start commenting on my posts or email me if there is some reason technically that makes it hard to do. Alternatively, I'd love to see someone beside me post on the site. I'm sure there are a lot of interesting ideas out there about this particular predicament foreign trained dentists in America are finding themselves in :).
