Hello! My name is Annamaria ,a Europien trained dentist.I have lieved here in New York for six years.I am 40 years old with two children, and a wonderful husband.I had a private office in my homecountry, and the busines went wery well.I got married to my husband, who is US citizen,so we moved here.I knew, that it will be hard, but I never imagined that after fulfilling every requirement,I still not enough competitive to get admitted in any dental school arround me.

I am working as a dental assistant, but we are planning to go back to old country, where my old patients still remember ,and wait for me.I become a US citizen 3 years ago,I completed the NBDE I and II,the TOFLE test, but It was a vast of time,my knowledge is not needed anywhere.Finaly,I got admitted to a community college,in a dental hygienist school(I can not afford NYU),It turned out, that I have to repeat almost my high school to,because it is older than ten years.Than I decided, that I not have to lieve here,I am unhappy.I do not know what should I do here.I heard that in Florida I can get a hygienist licence, but because this is the only state,it is hard to find job there afterward. With this letter,I still want to encoridge everybody not to give up.I only can not afford to stay here,I spent too much money and time for trying to succed.I am not young, and I have family to take care. I wish, that with this website, and with common strainght, you foreign trained dentist will change this ridiculous regulation in the future. best regards,Annamaria
